EDUC 4013 Methods of Teaching Early Childhood Social Studies
This course provides an overview of methods, materials, and current research for teaching social studies to young children (grades K-3). It focuses on enabling teacher candidates to effectively teach social-studies concepts through integrated units, experiences, and inquiry-based activities. Required for all early childhood education teacher candidates. Prerequisites: HIST 1063, HIST 2053; Acceptance into Lock 1, GPA 2.75.
