EXSC 4103 Research Methods in Exercise Science
An introduction to the process of research and its usefulness is the fields of exercise science, physical education, and sport, and the allied health care professions. This course covers reading, analyzing, and evaluating research articles. Scientific writing, formulating research hypotheses, measuring variables, appropriate research design, and performing basic statistical analyses using the statistical results to draw appropriate conclusions are included. An emphasis is placed on research and statistical techniques for the purpose of evaluating health-related and skill-related components of exercise science. Prerequisite: MATH 2203
