Gender Discrimination Under Title IX

Philosophy

Southern Wesleyan University does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, sex, or physical handicap in any of its policies, practices, or procedures. The University reserves its right to operate as a church-related institution and to develop policies consistent with the religious tenents of its sponsoring denomination, the Wesleyan Church. The University has established this Sexual Misconduct Policy to address all forms of Sexual Misconduct as defined within the policy including sexual harassment, sexual stalking, sexual assault, and other forms of conduct that include sexual discrimination or violence as a substantial element.

Title IX Coordinator

The Title IX Coordinator for Southern Wesleyan is the Director of Human Resources. The Title IX Coordinator receives the complaint from the student and assists the student in understanding the process for filing a Title IX complaint.
