CRJS 2273 Police Tactics
An overview of the various tactics used by patrol officers. Students will explore the proper use of deadly force, tactical approaches to unknown risk and high-risk situations and suspects, and the correct procedures for building and vehicle searches. Additionally, students will learn how to de-escalate situations through "verbal judo" and protect themselves in CQB (close quarter battle). Prerequisite: CRJS 2283.
