HSER 4603 Internship in Human Services
A hands-on experience in a professional Human Services setting. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, students apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, developing essential skills in client support, case management, advocacy, and resource coordination. Key components of the internship include direct client interaction, ethical decision-making, cultural competence, professional communication, and workplace collaboration. Graded P or NC. Prerequisite: HSER 2511. Note: Students who receive financial aid from any source including federal or state aid or veterans’ or military benefits may be personally responsible for the tuition/fees for this course when repeating it for credit.
