NURS 1202 Introduction to Pharmacology

This course provides an introduction to the fundamental principles of pharmacology relevant to nursing practice. Students will explore basic pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drug classifications, common drug uses, adverse effects, and nursing responsibilities related to safe medication administration. Emphasis is placed on dosage calculations and patient education to ensure safe and effective medication management.
