PHED 3133 Methods of Teaching Minor Sports
Minor Sports deals with the correct methods of teaching the various skills involved in teaching individual sports that include outdoor pursuits and individual performance activities such as: archery, bowling, golf, disc golf, fishing, track and field, and swimming. Rules, regulations, terminology, and pedagogical strategies will also be discussed as they relate to the concepts employed in the performance of these sports. The skills will be applied in written and oral lesson plan preparations, in addition to rubrics that display an utilization level of skill competency. For Physical Education majors only in Lock 1.
