RECR 2113 Sport Psychology II: Interventions

An introduction to various interventions designed to help athletes build mental toughness and achieve excellence in sport and in life. Students will gain a big-picture perspective on the mental side of sport by examining how athletes act, think, and feel when they practice and compete while integrating Christian values and teachings. Students will learn to use mental tools such as goal setting, imagery, relaxation, energization, and self-talk to help athletes build mental training programs. Attention will also be given to motivation, focus, stress management, and self-confidence. Prerequisite: RECR 2103.
