SOSC 2103 Relationship, Marriage, and Sex
An exploration of the psychological, social, cultural, and ethical aspects of human relationships, with a focus on romantic partnerships, marriage, and sexuality. Students will examine topics such as relationship dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, intimacy, commitment, and the impact of cultural and religious beliefs on marriage and sexual ethics. Key topics include dating and attraction, healthy vs. unhealthy relationships, the role of gender and societal expectations, sexual health and education, and factors influencing marital satisfaction and divorce. The course also addresses contemporary issues such as cohabitation, online dating, and changing family structures.
