MUSC 2003 Introduction to Music Technology

An introduction to the fundamentals of music technology, including the science of sound, audio signal flow, and tools used in live sound, recording, and digital music production. Students will gain hands-on experience with microphones, mixers, digital audio workstations (DAWs), MIDI controllers, and notation software such as Dorico. Emphasis is placed on practical skills and creative applications relevant to both performance and production environments. No prior experience is required; the course is ideal for music majors or any students interested in the intersection of music and technology.
