PSYC 3483 Conflict Resolution

An exploration of the theories, strategies, and skills necessary to effectively manage and resolve conflicts in personal, professional, and community settings. Students will examine the root causes of conflict, communication breakdowns, power dynamics, and the impact of culture on conflict resolution. Key topics include negotiation techniques, mediation, active listening, emotional intelligence, and de-escalation strategies. Students will also learn to study conflict resolution in various contexts such as workplaces, families, human services, and international relations.
