NURS 4556 Nursing Capstone
This culminating nursing course integrates theory and intensive clinical immersion to support the transition to professional nursing practice. Students synthesize knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program to manage complex patient care situations while demonstrating advanced clinical judgment, leadership, and interprofessional collaboration with a Christian worldview. Through supervised professional practice experiences, students assume increasing responsibility for coordinating care for a cohort of patients in diverse healthcare settings. Emphasis is placed on critical analysis of contemporary healthcare issues, professional role development, and preparation for autonomous entry into entry-level professional nursing practice. This course is comprised of 45 hours of lecture instruction and 135 hours of clinical experience.
